Our mandate

The utility scale mandate of Coniferous is to fund the development of large-scale renewable energy projects. We back developers from the inception of a project (site-finding) through to fully operational.

Our onsite renewables mandate is fund, install and operate C&I solar and storage rooftop projects. We work with landlords, tenants, and installers to deliver a world class installation that fully utilises your rooftop space – breaking the traditional model of sizing to self-consumption.

Mark Jones

Mark is a results driven board level professional with 20 years’ experience in solar and renewables across both growth business and large corporations.

He has a high level of financial and commercial acumen with deep understanding of renewable energy investing and has raised and deployed more than £1bn in financing into UK and overseas renewable energy projects.

With a passion and proven ability to grow development companies into highly valuable and market leading platforms Coniferous is Mark’s new venture.

Joseph Pillai

Joseph is a diligent, proactive, and commercially minded senior finance professional with over 20 years of experience in private equity and corporate structuring.

He has a consistent track record of driving growth and innovation and promoting sustainability and responsible business practices within companies as well as delivering complex projects on time.

With a strong dedication to developing and executing long-term strategies that align with social and environmental concerns as well as organizational objectives Coniferous is Joseph’s new venture.
